futurepearlfey:

Mr. Edgeworth… it’s been a while…

(Wasn’t he a defense attorney at one point for some reason, though? I can’t remember…)

How are you?

Indeed. Seven years, correct?

I have been well, thank you for asking. And yourself? Are you still living in Kurain Village?

geniusprosecutor started following you

futurepearlfey:

Hello… Thank you for the follow. My name is Pearl Fey.

(A… prosecutor? He looks familiar… I can’t place the name…)

Ah, Pearl. Miles Edgeworth. Do you remember me?

(I wouldn’t be surprised if she doesn’t, considering how young she was during those cases…)

Anonymous whispered,

You might wanna go and comfort your female counterpart. She's like, five right now and needs her father. And you know damn well where her father is, so be a substitute, please? Please? I don't wanna see the little girl cry!

(She’s five years old, so she wouldn’t know yet…)

I haven’t seen her lately, but I’ll keep an eye out for her. However, I’m not quite sure what I can do other than make sure she isn’t alone.

Tea for Two

prosecutor-smiles:

[He shifted uncomfortably in his seat once the older Edgeworth looked up at him and stared at him uneasily.]

(Oh no… What if he.. reacts like the other version of myself that I’ve met? Worse, what if he rejects me completely like my younger self? No, Miles… Calm down. I-I’m sure this Mr. Miles is different.)

[His grip on the menu loosened slightly as he heard the choice of tea that the older prosecutor wanted to order. At the very least their tastes stayed the same. It made him feel better somehow. When he heard what the older man wanted along with his tea, he set down the menu on the table.]

Ah, shall we order then?

[He called over a waiter and smiled up at him as he began reciting their orders. Two cups of Earl Grey tea, scones and coconut macaroons. The waiter jotted down the items in his notepad and looked at them as he repeated the order. Miles noted the strange expression on the waiter’s face before he had walked off. He merely laughed softly about it.]

He must have thought we were twins, Mr. Miles!

[Edgeworth wasn’t sure if the tense way the younger prosecutor carried himself at the moment could be attributed to meeting with another version of himself or it if it was just normal. Either way, it was hard to read the other man purely because he defied Edgeworth’s expectations for his younger self.]

(Then again, if there was a version of me in a mafia universe, a more cheerful Miles Edgeworth can’t be a more of an alarming alternate universe counterpart.)

Thank you. [He nodded politely at the waiter, noticing the odd expression on his face.] (At least the rest of the world finds the alternate counterparts strange.)

I wouldn’t be surprised if that were true. The gap may make him think we are siblings that look very similar rather than twins.

Tea for Two

prosecutor-smiles:

Y-yes… I will try not to keep you here for too long, Mr. Miles.

[Miles finally looked over the menu, knowing what he wanted to order but wondered if pretending to choose over the extensive selection would give him more time. His heart pounded in his chest, reminding him about how nervous he was. He subtly took a deep breath to help calm his nerves. It helped a bit, but certainly not much.

He pulled himself together and smiled brightly at the older man. The other Edgeworth didn’t look too upset about his tardiness and that brought him some relief. Perhaps this would work out. He definitely hoped so.]

I suppose you’ve decided on what to order? I think I will have scones with my Earl Grey tea. What about you, Mr. Miles?

[Miles kept his eyes down as he waited for the other man to decide on what to order. It was slightly strange to be sitting across from a younger version of himself. He wondered if the younger prosecutor wanted to ask about the future…which couldn’t be allowed, he suspected. Surely the younger prosecutor realized this…

He looked up when the other man began to speak again. Nearly immediately, he was taken aback by the smile on the other man’s face. Edgeworth was not the type to smile. He knew that. As such, he had never seen himself smile. He unintentionally gave the younger prosecutor his signature stare in response.]

I was just going to order the Earl Grey alone…

[In reality, he was going to order the scone too. But it seemed strange to be ordering the exact same thing as the younger Miles Edgeworth, another reminder of their similarities…despite the “glaring” differences. He glanced back down at the menu.]

I think I’ll get the coconut macaroons as well.

parzifalsjudgement whispered,

That's got to be a bit of an annoying spell. How are you dealing with it so far?

The rhymes seem to come naturally to me.

Though it does feel quite silly.

Thankfully, three hours isn’t as long as it could be.

hamstr whispered,

Hey there, Mr. Edgeworth! Might I ask how your day is going? >u>

My day isn’t going as best as it could.

If I could stop rhyming, I would.

If you think that I would respond to “magic”, your image of me requires some inspection.

I have always greeted most things of that sort with rejection.
